All content in the reel has been created for independent as well as school projects. The reel showcases my recent work with effects oriented VFX work. Software used: Maya, Houdini, Nuke, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop. Cameras used: Canon 5D mkII, 7D, T2i, and Panasonic HVX 200.

3D Stereo Shot on Canon T2i’s

The concept for this project was to integrate a CG stereoscopic render with a stereoscopic HD plate shot on canon T2i’s. A custom rig was constructed to hold the two cameras side by side. The footage was taken into Nuke 6 (Nuke X) and converted to anaglyph stereo. An HDR was shot on set to provide lighting information. A CG mustang was rendered out of maya using a stereo camera to produce left and right images. Everything was composited together and the 3D effect worked quite well for a custom camera rig. The movie below “Finish Line” is viewable in 3D, just make sure to wear Red / Blue glasses.

This is an exercise for my visual effects supervision class. The appropriate data was recorded about the camera’s position to recreate its location in 3D. I created particles that formed text using Houdini. It was rendered on SCAD renderfarm and composited with Nuke X.
